Good grief... I've been gone for less than a week and I am such a slacker because I've got so much to post about.
First of all, just so you know me, I'm a rather large Eminem fan. No joke. It's like the one celeb crush I just cant kick. I think he's extremely talented, among other pleasant qualities. So I'm psyched for Monday when Recovery is coming out. I'm going to elaborate slightly, and tell you that Relapse was a bit of a disappointment to me, and I havent truly enjoyed his stuff in a while like I did with the Eminem Show, my favorite album of his. "Not Afraid" has restored my faith, though, and I have high hopes for this new album.
I'd like to give props to my favorite Etsy shop, It's My Day. Jori is absolutely FAB at her memory/guest books. Seriously. I've bought 3 of them now: one for myself, two as gifts. I can not give her enough props. She customizes these books in a way that is just so perfect an awesome. I know most of her stuff tends to be for weddings, but I'm actually going to be asking her if she can do something for a family reunion I've got coming up. But I love this girl and will continue to give her memory books for wedding or baby gifts as long as she keeps making them!!
The last wedding I was in, I had her make one to match the kilts the groom and groomsmen wore, and she did such a fabulous job even just having simple descriptions. her work is so good and she obviously takes pride in what she does. This is just an example of her work that she posts on her website, but I'll upload a pic of the one she most recently did for me this evening.
I'm going to Kohl's tonight. Can I just say this is dangerous? I am on a shopping for summer dresses spree because I'm actually loving wearing short dresses this summer and I think that is awesome that I have the confidence to do so, so I shall reward myself. I need to lose 50 pounds, but you know what- if i dress in clothes that make me look bad I'm only going to feel worse about myself. So I need to attempt to look good, so I can be happy and love myself for who I am. This is important for a woman, I believe.
Working on a book review for My Name is Memory, you will be able to find that here. I'll give you a hint: It was sooooo good!!
