"Life's like a road that you travel on, When there's one day here and the next day gone..." Tom Cochrane- Life is a Highway

Tisk, tisk on me! I'm a little disappointed in my lack of blog-age. The past month though has been a bit of a blur. Mostly because I've been surrounded by a house full of Girl Scout cookies, and running around with 6 to 8 year old girls who have more energy than I've exerted in many years. But the girls are great, and the Great Girl Scout Cookie Sale has been quite an adventure of sorts. Dealing with money is always a bit nerve wracking, but if I can just make it ONE MORE WEEK...
Also, in the midst of the shower of cookies, there was a wedding in Georgia. The wedding of a close friend of mine on the beach, 9 hours from home. It was a lovely wedding and so much fun, but unless you are just a guest, a wedding is far from relaxing. The bride was lovely, and the ceremony was touching... then my husband and I ran away to Savannah for a mini-vacation of our own.
But of course life does not stop when you are on vacation, for when you return you discover more things To Do than you left behind.
Like, starting a new job. March 1 was the beginning of this adventure, simultaneously kicking me in the butt with all these other experiences. Getting paid, though, is always welcome in my book.
Unfortunately with all these occurrences, I've not had time to do my Lia Sophia shows, another something I love to do. I'm hoping to hop on that bandwagon again ASAP, after the cookie sale.
Ah, well, such is life. If I had nothing to do, I'd be bored. I'm kicking myself for the Post Wedding Blues, however, because that is what got me signed up to be a Girl Scout leader of first and second grade girls when I don't even have a child! It's rewarding, though, so I'm not going to complain too much. No boredom in my future.
Alas, here I am, arisen from the depths of the chaotic world that I've dunked myself into, so I should be returning more often to share my thoughts.
I believe that's about it for my creative thought juices for today, however, as the Chemistry office I now call my work home just got chaotic with TA's and professors...

  1. Selling girl scout cookies sounds so much fun! :) But true, dealing with money.. for me always a nono. I try to avoid it as much as possible.

Btw, I found your blog on 20sb.

As you can see, I survived the cookie sale with all limbs attached...
